Here it is, already the middle of December and the holidays are in full swing! Christmas parties, cookie exchanges, gingerbread making, all of the good holiday cheer is going on right now. One of my favorite traditions for this time of year though, has to be heading out in the car to take in the lights displays. It does not matter if you are 6 or 60, this pastime is a treasured tradition among us northerners. Here is a great list of the best sites to take in the sparkle and glow…

Edaville! – Christmas Festival of Lights at Edaville Railroad – Carver, MA
Once a year, Edaville USA features the Christmas Festival of Lights offering train rides through the magnificent Christmas light displays. It takes about 20 mins and travels through the bogs. Once stationed, you can enjoy amusement rides, shopping, cocoa, train museum, and of course Santa. Fireworks on Friday night too!

Enchanted Village at the Cape Codder Resort – Hyannis, MA
Just like Edaville, The Cape Codder is a wonderful place to visit this time of year. Walk through the enchanted village and be greeted by thousands of lights and displays. Enjoy songs from Carolers and visit with Santa.
